Growing up, I was always the "girly girl." My favorite color was (and still is!) pink, I loved playing with Barbie, and always wanted to be a princess when I grew up. Now, you might think this is strange considering that I'm the only girl in my family, and most of my extended relatives in my generation are male. Still, not much has changed now that I'm an adult, and when I discovered this bright pink art wall, the inner princess-Barbie-girly feelings of my childhood were brought back to life. Needless to say, it completely inspired me to create this feminine pink outfit.
It's a great day to wear floral! When I was in the Philippines, I ended up buying a ton of clothes at the local marketplaces and was really excited to wear them back home! One of my favorite pieces that I've purchased was this pair of floral, maroon high-waisted shorts. Although there a ton of floral blouses in the market this summer, floral shorts and bottoms are such an unexpected article of clothing to wear print, which makes it more eye catching when you see a person's entire outfit. I also love the color combination since many floral print colors are pastel and neon. The earth toned colors of my shorts makes it so unique while still being colorful. I kept the rest of the look simple with the white bell-sleeved crop top, cat eye sunglasses, and birkenstock-style sandals!
Live a life full of color with a pair of colorful pants for your summer wardrobe! I like these pants from LOFT because they are ankle length and can show off your shoe game while you're strolling. I've also been adoring the off-the-shoulder crop top trend this season, so I purchased this top from H&M since white can match with anything, and the fabric is lightweight! To finish off the look, I wore a belt with matching colors to keep the outfit cohesive. I hope this inspires you to wear some color this summer season!
What better way to start off the summer with some sparkle! I've always been a fan of sequins, and this top is no exception. To make it a casual look, I paired it with some distressed jeans, a skinny belt, and some neutral colored sandals. Sometimes, sequins look too "gawdy" and can even create a heavier silhouette, so tucking in the blouse helps create structure in your outfit and makes it perfect for everyday. To finish off this look, I added a colorful purse! Whether you are running errands or exploring some cool art in the city, try standing out this coming summer season with a sparkly look!
